ONE FUND. TWO GOALS. THREE YEARS
Aaron Katlyn NWBC.jpg

Katlyn & Pastor Aaron Browning

FROM THE PASTOR

Since its inception, Northwest has been a church where people love Jesus, his Word, and others.

I know that I have experienced the loving embrace of Jesus through our church family, and many others could say the same. Only one thing has the power to produce that kind of people: the gospel.

The gospel is at the center of everything we do. The gospel has made us who we are.

When I look around on a Sunday morning, I see a lot of new faces. It reminds me that we are a growing church in a growing community. It reminds me that there are more people to disciple, more people who need to hear the gospel, and more churches that need to be planted. We are at a critical juncture in our church’s life. We get to set the stage for decades of fruitful kingdom- expanding gospel work in our community.

Over the next few months, we are going to enter another season of radical generosity. We’re calling this campaign GROW because we believe God is leading us to deepen our roots in Him and widen our reach for the gospel. Completing our church home will provide a strong foundation and launching pad for gospel work locally and globally.

I am so excited to enter this season and this campaign with you. I am confident we will look back at these years and rejoice at the ways God provides in surprising and unexpected ways.

We see Jesus’ kingdom growing deeper in us and wider through us.

OUR GROWTH STORY

Jesus promised his Kingdom would grow, and we get to be a part of it! We see Jesus’ kingdom growing deeper in us and wider through us.

Since moving into our permanent home in 2019, Northwest has continued to experience steady, meaningful growth. More families are gathering with us, more children and students are being discipled, and there are more ministry opportunities both inside and outside our walls. As we plant churches, send out pastors, and invest in gospel work locally and globally, it has become clear that God is inviting us to prepare for the next chapter of ministry.

The next phase of Northwest’s building vision reflects our desire to steward this growth faithfully. Lord willing, Phase Two will include a permanent worship center designed to serve our church family for decades, as well as additional classrooms and ministry spaces for children, youth, and adult discipleship. These expanded spaces will allow us to welcome more people, equip more believers, and create room for new ministries to flourish.

We are not building for comfort or preference. We are building because the gospel is bearing fruit among us, and we want to be ready for the opportunities God is giving. As He has done from the beginning, we trust that the Lord will continue to provide everything needed as we pursue His mission together.

MISSION & VISION

We’re a community of believers committed to knowing Jesus and joyfully making Him known.

Gospel

The gospel shapes and informs every area of our church life. Every service, every Bible study, every meeting, every song we sing together tells us the truth about ourselves and points us to the perfect sufficiency of the grace God has given us in Jesus.

Romans 1:16-17 For it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”

Community

At Northwest we want this gospel to not only be taught but seen in our loving relationships. Jesus said, “By this will all men know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” These loving relationships are the fabric of our community. We want you to experience new friendships and growth in grace with others.

John 13:55 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.

Mission

The gospel draws us in and sends us out on a mission to make disciples of all nations. We are committed to gospel-movement and want you to be a part of that mission with us.

Matthew 28:19-20 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.

CAMPAIGN OVERVIEW

This is about stewarding what God has given us and making room for more people to know Jesus and GROW in Him.

The One Fund Initiative

Rather than giving to separate funds (general, building, missions, etc.), the GROW Campaign will operate as a One Fund initiative.

That means every gift given during this season goes to one unified fund—fueling both our ongoing ministry (like staffing, outreach, discipleship, and operations) and the future vision we’re stepping into through Phase Two.

This approach helps us see all our generosity as part of one mission: to know Jesus and joyfully make Him known–deeper and wider. The one fund will also enable us to maintain financial flexibility as we enter a season of transition.

$2.2M - ONGOING MINISTRY

This will fund the week-to-week ministry of Northwest Bible Church over the next three years. Through these resources we will GROW our discipleship and outreach ministries and meet our staffing and operational needs

$400K - GLOBAL MISSION

We will give away these resources to our community and ministry partners in North America and around the world. During this season of building expansion we also want to GROW our giving to advance gospel work.

$2.5 M - BUILDING EXPANSION

These funds will help us grow our down payment, furnish the expansion, and cover future mortgage expenses. The expansion of our campus will be a powerful tool for our church and community in the future. This expansion will allow us to GROW all of our ministries and provide valuable space for discipleship and fellowship.

“From the moment we came, we have felt the love of God and the love of God’s people that make this body a true church family. We have made meaningful and lifelong connections that strengthen our walk with Christ and empower us to grow and mature in our faith.”

– Veronika Sazonov

CAMPAIGN GOALS

In this season, we want everyone at Northwest to experience the joy of generosity as we grow together.

PRIMARY GOAL

100% ENGAGEMENT

Our primary goal is for 100% of those who call Northwest Bible Church home to engage wholeheartedly in what it means to know Jesus and joyfully make Him known through a lifestyle of Christ-centered generosity. It’s an invitation to GROW deeper in trust, obedience, and joyful surrender as we participate in His kingdom work

SECONDARY GOAL

FULLY FUNDED MINISTRY & PHASE TWO LAUNCH

Our secondary goal is to fund the ministry God has entrusted to us while raising the down payment needed to move forward with Phase Two of our campus expansion. We are incredibly grateful for the growth that has come to us as a church body, and we want to maximize the opportunities that God is bringing our way.

Generosity grows where hearts are rooted in Christ.

WHY GENEROSITY

Generosity is really the “hidden gem” in the process of disciple-making.

There is very little we do that does not require some type of financial decision. Do we go out to eat; do we grab a Starbucks coffee on the way to work; do we buy the newest and more expensive athletic shoes or the ones from the clearance rack; do we buy a new car or a used car? If we’re honest with ourselves, we would all likely agree that we’ve experienced the allure of money at some point in our lives.

For this reason, Jesus spoke often on the topic of our treasure (or money in today’s terms), our possessions, our attitude about our possessions, and in the end, who really owns everyone’s possessions. We only need to look to the story of the rich young ruler (Matt. 19:16–22) to realize that the stewardship of our resources is very important.

During the GROW campaign, we will talk about generosity. It is important to understand that generosity impacts much more than just our money. Generosity grows where hearts are rooted in Christ. Jesus, who we know had little in the way of possessions, was the most generous person who ever lived. The stronger our relationship with Jesus grows, the more generous we become. Generosity is, without a doubt, a matter of the heart.

“My family would not be the same today without the people of Northwest Bible Church. Through both trials and joyful seasons, the body of believers at Northwest has been a constant, tangible reminder of God’s love for me. I truly consider this church one of the Lord’s greatest gifts to me and my family.”

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Answers to common questions about the GROW Campaign.

PRAYER GUIDE

Please join us in praying for our GROW Campaign. “Prayer does not fit us for the greater work; prayer is the greater work.” - Oswald Chambers

WEEK 1 — Growing His Church: How will Jesus use you in His work?

Mark 4:26-34

Sermon Summary:

Jesus promises that His kingdom grows in ways we cannot see, control, or manufacture. Just as a seed grows silently under the soil, the gospel advances through God’s power, not human strength. This gives us confidence: Jesus Himself is building His church, and nothing can stop His kingdom from growing deeper and wider.

5 Days of Prayer

1. Monday: Thank God that His kingdom is growing all over the world — and in our church.

2. Tuesday: Pray for eyes to trust God’s unseen work in your life and in NWBC.

3. Wednesday: Ask God to deepen your love for His Word, where kingdom seeds are planted.

4. Thursday: Pray for those who will come to faith through NWBC in the months ahead.

5. Friday: Praise Jesus as Lord of the harvest — and offer yourself to Him as a worker.

WEEK 2 — Growing Our Generosity: Where’s Your Treasure?

Matthew 6:19–21

Sermon Summary:

Jesus teaches that our treasure reveals our heart. Kingdom generosity begins with reorienting our desires toward what is eternal rather than earthly. Generosity for Jesus is the inevitable result of a heart that treasures Jesus. When we store up treasure in heaven, we declare that Christ — not comfort or possessions — is our greatest joy and security.

5 Days of Prayer

1. Monday: Thank God for the good gifts He has entrusted to you.

2. Tuesday: Pray for freedom from anxiety and materialism.

3. Wednesday: Ask God to align your heart with eternal priorities.

4. Thursday: Pray that NWBC would be marked by Christ-centered generosity.

5. Friday: Ask the Lord, “Where is my treasure? Where do You want me to grow in generosity?”

WEEK 3 — Growing Our Generosity: Gratitude for God’s Gift

2 Corinthians 9:6–15

Sermon Summary:

Paul shows that Christian generosity flows from the grace of God. We give because God has given to us — abundantly, joyfully, and sacrificially in Christ. When we sow generously, God multiplies every gift for His glory and the good of others. Gratitude fuels giving.

5 Days of Prayer

1. Monday: Thank God for His “inexpressible gift” — Jesus Christ.

2. Tuesday: Pray for a grateful heart that overflows in generosity.

3. Wednesday: Ask God to enrich our church “in every way for every generous work.”

4. Thursday: Pray that every gift in the Grow Campaign will bear eternal fruit.

5. Friday: Praise God for using ordinary people and ordinary gifts to accomplish extraordinary things.

WEEK 4 — Deepening Our Roots

2 Peter 1:3–8

Sermon Summary:

Peter teaches that God has given us everything we need for life and godliness. Because of His grace, we are called to grow in virtue, knowledge, self-control, steadfastness, godliness, brotherly affection, and love. Deep roots in the character of Christ lead to stable, fruitful lives that reflect Him.

5 Days of Prayer

1. Monday: Thank God that He has given you everything needed for growth in Him.

2. Tuesday: Pray that the qualities in 2 Peter 1 would increasingly take root in your life.

3. Wednesday: Ask God to deepen the spiritual maturity of our church family.

4. Thursday: Pray for discipleship to flourish across every ministry of NWBC.

5. Friday: Praise God for His transforming power that makes us fruitful and effective.

WEEK 5 — Widening Our Reach

Isaiah 56:1–8

Sermon Summary:

Isaiah reveals God’s heart for the nations. God is gathering people from every tribe, tongue, and background into His family. As a church, our mission is God’s desire to bring salvation to the nations put into action. Widening our reach means joining God’s global purpose—opening wide our doors, welcoming the outsider, proclaiming the gospel, and rejoicing in salvation with God’s gathered people.

5 Days of Prayer

1. Monday: Thank God for welcoming you into His family by grace.

2. Tuesday: Pray for eyes to see the people around you who need Christ’s hope.

3. Wednesday: Ask God to use NWBC to reach the nations in our neighborhoods.

4. Thursday: Pray for our local and global partners advancing the gospel.

5. Friday: Praise God that His house is a “house of prayer for all peoples” — and ask Him to widen our reach for His glory.
